Recently Google arranged an event for Brazilian at São Paulo. This event is to help Brazilians to get more out of internet, deliver the commitment by Google as per their mission statement. That event took in place on 06 June 2019 at São Paulo.

- Google Station arrives at Brazil
It’s providing fast, free and open internet from 80 major public spots. Google providing this facility with their partner America Net, Linktel, Itaú. People can use internet free of cost
- Two new privacy tools are now live in Brazil
People can now use Android phone as a security keys. Also Brazilian can now check their data they used in Maps, Search and other Google products. Also auto-delete feature is globally available.
- Google will train Brazilian journalism associations
Under the Google News initiatives grant Google will provide training program including continued funding from Comprova.
- GNI Innovation Challenge – call for application
Google will fund new ideas and sustainable business models for digital journalism. Proposals can be accepted until July 22.
- Incubation program for journalism startups
In partnership with Google for Startups Campus São Paulo. The Digital Native News Incubator will help Brazilian journalism startup project with tools, training and other necessary logistics under this program
- Voice support in local language
The Google Assistant was available in Portuguese voice since 2 years. Now Google will work with local tech companies to integrate assistant buttons int their app.
- Media literacy grant for Palavra Aberta Institute
Google.org is giving 4 million reais to Palavra Aberta Institute to create media literacy program will will help students and teachers to fight with misinformation and creating wonderful content.
